Brian Shaad

Āyurvedic Practitioner

My life’s journey has always been unconventional, shaped by curiosity and a deep desire to explore the world. Born and raised in California, I left home early, first to Boston for university and then London for postgraduate studies. My previous career took me across continents — from the UK to Nigeria, and ultimately to India — where I found my "home."

While working in rural India, I encountered the profound simplicity of traditional remedies. Locals used these age-old practices to treat various ailments, often with remarkable results. As someone adjusting to new foods, climates, and living conditions, I frequently found myself the recipient of these remedies. What struck me most was their systematic approach — it wasn’t folklore but a deeply rooted science I had never encountered before: Āyurveda.

This sparked a passion that turned into a lifelong pursuit. My initial informal education in Āyurveda began in India. After returning to the U.S., I deepened my knowledge through formal studies with the California College of Ayurveda, Āyu Academy, and Samudra Kula. I also honed my practice while managing operations at a Panchakarma clinic, and more recently Panchakaram retreats in Mexico.

Today, I am a qualified Āyurvedic Practitioner with more than a decade of experience. I divide my time between the U.S. and India, continuing to learn under the guidance of respected Āyurvedic teachers. This dual exposure keeps me grounded in both the ancient traditions of Āyurveda and the realities of modern life challenges.

I offer a personalized, detail-oriented approach to my clients, strictly adhering to classical Āyurvedic teachings. Whether you seek to cultivate better health, address acute concerns, or manage chronic conditions, I work collaboratively with you — and when needed, alongside Western medical practitioners — to provide comprehensive and effective care.
